CUNY-College of Staten Island Honors Program including the Verrazzano Honors

 The College of Staten Island offers a number of selective academic programs, learning communities and undergraduate research opportunities. Our programs range from the Macaulay Honors College: University Scholars Program, which provides high achieving students with a special honors curriculum of innovative and challenging courses during the first and second years of study, to the Verrazzano School, a program designed to offer students a unique undergraduate education through academically motivated learning communities. The Teacher Education Honors Academy at CSI is designed for select students passionate about mathematics and science who want to inspire enthusiasm for those subject areas in middle and high school students.

We’d like to let you know that we have extended the free application week for SUNY Oswego. Students can apply for free to SUNY Oswego now through November 12th. Here’s what they need to do: Students must apply to SUNY Oswego using the SUNY Application or Common Application. If using the SUNY App:  On the payment page, it will note that SUNY Oswego will be covering application fees. If using the Common App:  There will be a question that says, “APPLY TO SUNY OSWEGO FOR FREE now through November 12th! Would you like SUNY Oswego to pay your application fee?" If students select “Yes”, SUNY Oswego will pay their fee. Complete their SUNY Oswego undergraduate application  during the free app period  — October 30 through November 12, 2023.
